We know you can’t wait and heating in the microwave will be the fastest way to get your stomach full of these delicious pork products covered in Sweet Baby Ray’s® Original Barbecue Sauce. However, in our humble opinion, we think the taste is best when you use the oven to heat the pork items. Sure, it’s going to take a little longer and you’re going to test your patience with that smell wafting through the house, but it’s worth the wait. Trust us. Use these links for our recommendations for the microwave heating.
Yes, you can heat these items on the grill. We won’t tell anyone if you’re trying to pull a fast one on your friends by making them think you’ve spent hours laboring over the grill fixing them delicious pork with Sweet Baby Ray’s® Original Sauce. Heat the grill to a medium temperature and create a "boat" with aluminum foil. Put the ribs or tenderloin in the “boat” and cover it with the remaining sauce in the package. Make sure you hide the package well so you won’t be found out. Set some extra Sweet Baby Ray’s® barbecue sauce bottles around the grill to give the impression you’ve been basting the meat. Reheat until the pork reaches an internal temperature of at least 140 degrees F.
If you’ve frozen your fully cooked barbecued meats with Sweet Baby Ray’s® sauce, we know you don’t want to wait, but for the best results thoroughly defrost the items in the refrigerator before heating.
If you’ve opened the package, eat or refreeze the product within three to four days. But we know it’s unlikely you’re going to have any leftovers anyway after you’ve opened the package.
We strongly recommend you do not consume the product. A leaking package means the vacuum seal is broken on the package, which could allow for bacterial growth, if it has been leaking for several days. We know it’s upsetting to throw away all that delicious meat covered with Sweet Baby Ray's Original Sauce, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
All products except for the meatballs with sauce are gluten free. Always read labels closely for ingredients before consuming.

Yes, an electric roaster should heat these items just fine. Set the temperature to 350 degrees F and then wait and wait and wait (okay, it’s going to be awhile before you can dig in) for the items to reach at least 140 degrees F, which is the recommended safe temperature for reheating items.
Yes, you can warm it in a slow cooker. But like the name says, it’s going to be slow. Using your oven for the ribs and/or a sauce pan for the shredded pork will be a faster method so that you can get your Sweet Baby Ray’s® meats right now.
The USDA says if raw or cooked food is thawed in the refrigerator, it is safe to refreeze it without cooking or heating, although there may be a loss of quality due to the moisture lost through defrosting. However, we must ask why you would tease yourself like that. If you thaw it out, go ahead and enjoy it right now.
No! You should put the excess barbecue sauce over the product before heating. For food safety reasons, you should reheat the product and the sauce to at least 140 degrees F. You should never use the leftover sauce in the bag on the product after you heated it up. If you want extra sauce after heating, use a bottle (okay maybe two or three) of Sweet Baby Ray’s®. That way you’re guaranteed to have plenty of sauce; but let’s be real, can you ever get enough of this sauce?
Each package is marked with a use by/freeze by date. This is the date you should either consume the product or freeze it. But to be on the safe side, even if the use by/freeze by date is a month away, we recommend you go ahead and freeze if you don’t plan to eat it within two weeks after purchasing. Can you really control yourself and let it sit in the fridge for two weeks before eating it? We doubt it.
If you have the willpower to not eat it right now and save it for another day, you can freeze it. Freeze it in the vacuum package you purchased it in. As with any meat product, we recommend you consume the product within six months of freezing or else it could get freezer burn, giving it an unusual taste.
You mean you aren’t going to eat it all right now? Well, if you can resist the urge, yes, you can cut it up and freeze it in smaller portions. However, to maintain the best flavor, we recommend you freeze it using a home vacuum packaging system. If you don’t have one of those, wrap it tightly in aluminum foil and place it in a sealable plastic bag. Be sure to squeeze out the air. This should help prevent freezer burn and odor penetration. For the best flavor, we recommend you thaw and reheat these within a couple of months.
